Joint School

Joint School

The IMBRSea joint school is an annual event that unites students and teachers to collaborate on specialised research topics at an established European marine research station. The focus is on both developing scientific knowledge and on creating a beneficial integrative experience for students and teachers alike.

The IMBRSea joint school for the academic year 2018-2019 will take place in August 2019 in Tjarnö, Sweden. The joint school takes 10 days. Due to the large number of students, the group will be split over 2 joint schools, see 'Key Dates' for the exact dates.

During the joint school students work in small groups conducting research on specific themes. Students gain valuable research and transferable skills, with each group preparing the following:

  • Research proposal
  • Experimental design and research
  • Data analysis
  • Report
  • Presentation
  • Documentary movie & blog
