The IMBRSea programme board is aware that practical work is very important element of a good scientific training. The first semester of the programme is organised around six fundamental courses, which aim to give each student a comprehensive, mainly theoretical background. During the first semester practical classes are, in many courses, not an essential element in achieving the learning goals or can, in many cases, be relatively easily substituted by online comparable activities.

Examples of these activities include online virtual excursions, online computer labs or tutorials.

During the Professional Practice (second semester) and the Summer Schools there remains a wide range of additional possibilities to gain more practical experience.
